[Wichita-SCCA] Solo Results!

This is just a note on Jason's comments about Guy Roberts ...  I completely agree with Jason.  Guy Roberts simply spoils us all.  

I found it odd that I hadn't really been around Guy very much given that he walked, no, ran away with the top worker points and just about everything else awarded last year by the Wichita Region.  We have a small club and you'd think that everyone knows everyone but that's not the reality.  We all run in our own little cliques, mostly focused on things that revolve around ourselves, while having only a limited awareness of who makes things happen and how it all works.  I'm no exception.  Thus it came to be that, although I had an arm's-length appreciation of how dedicated and how capable Guy was, the full picture didn't hit home until I saw him with his kids at the IROC slot car event and then worked with him more closely for this past weekend's Solo event at Strother Field.  I found that Guy is a real family person -- devoted and loving -- and on top of that he's an enthusiastically quick competitor as well as being a calm. highly competent manager.   I simply don't know how he handles work, family, and all of the crazy hours doing SCCA stuff while still being so nice about everything!

(With apologies to the original author) When trouble arises & things look bad, there's always one individual who percieves a solution & is willing to take command.  Very often, that person is Guy.

A tip of the hat to Mr Guy Roberts.
