[Wichita-SCCA] Trailer!

Ok, one last message....

As you read this, the club trailer is getting surgery to take car of
it's ailing parts. Along with new suspension, we are getting electronic
brakes added. This is mainly for safety, but also to cover a "gray
area" in trailer regulations. But what this means is that if you would
like to tow the trailer (which, by the way, you get a free Solo entry
for), then you will now have to have an electronic brake controller in
your tow vehicle. These are not too expensive (U-haul has models
ranging from $60-150 depending on how fancy they are, and that does not
include installation). Also, the electrical connector changes from the
1960's 4 pin to the more current 7 pin (I believe, I would confirm that
before changing anything).

My hope is that my F-150 will soon also go under the knife to be able to
pull the trailer, and anyone will be welcome to use it. I don't mind
towing it every time (as it will help pay for the surgery), but then I
don't have my car to race.

On that same note, if you DO tow the trailer, my car is available for
you to race at the event, if you don't get a better offer from other
members.

So, this is just an FYI about the trailer for everyone. That should be
it for me for a while...
