[Wichita-SCCA] Today's Hawker-Beechcraft event

It may sound silly but I had a great time at today's solo.  Why silly?  Because I didn't enter competition and yet I had one of my best days at a solo event in recent memory.  I had a great day simply being with friends both old and new.  

I was done with assistant Registrar duties by 12:30 and could have left but didn't want to.  It was the first event of the season and everybody seemed pumped up.  It was exciting just being there.  The afterglow at the sports bar just kept that feeling going and I was the last one to leave.  I'm sure that I got a bit too mellow and told stories a little too loudly but I really enjoyed the day.  It just goes to show that there's a lot more to the Wichita Region SCCA than just staging events.  We are a genuine club of like-minded enthusiasts and there are times when it is really fun to just get together and enjoy each other's company.
