  Well, it was bound to happen.  All 3 sites are not available on the 9th, so the Solo event has been "canceled".  I put that in quotes, because we will try to work in a good time with no other events, and we will see what we can do about the site.  It just so happens that WGP is busy closing, Hawker Beechcraft is having an event, and Strother Field is hosting an event as well.

  I will keep the website updated, as well as post information here as we have it.

  Otherwise, plan on Nationals at HPT Sept 25-28th, our very own ENDUROCROSS put on by Kevin Anderson at Strother Field on the 30th of September, and there will also be a Membership Meeting at Old Chicago East on the 26th of September.

  Sorry again for the problems, we will keep you posted.

  I arranged the porta-potty without problem but ran into a stopper when I talked with Strother Field Manager Shawn McGrew this morning.  He said that General Electric has a large company gathering of some sort going on this weekend.  He said that he would check with GE security and management to see if the two events could co-exist.  His feeling was that GE would not be interested and they, of course, are the guys who pay the bills at Strother Field.  He was certain enough that they would not give permission that he said that he would get back to me only if GE said that it was okay for us to be there this weekend.

   

  It's been two hours and no return call.  I am assuming that this means that Strother Field is not available to us this weekend.

   

  I will call to put the porta-potty on hold if I can.
