Due to a number of requests eralier in the year, we are bringing back Mirror
Khana. As you may know, Rocky Entriken put this event on 30 times, with very
few changes to the course. Number thirty was in 2004. This is an event with
no timers, just you against another car. You start across from each other
with a flagman, and go clockwise all the way around to your own Start/Finish
line. First one home wins! It is a double elimination bracket system. There
is all the practice you want on Saturday, and the competition is on Sunday.
Cars are bumped to make run groups, so if you want a full class, challenge
your usual competitors. With the entries so far, the only class that is
large enough is the STO class, and STOL would bump into the group.
I believe this conflicts with the Witches Ryde on Saturday, but we can't
avoid conflicts. If you are not rallying Saturday, this is one of the last
autocrosses of the year, and one with a long history. If you are rallying
Saturday, come Sunday, and try it anyway. Preregistration is required by
mail, received by Oct. 22. For $40, you get two days of runs, Brookvile
chicken dinner and beverages, and a "Mirror Khana Revival" T-shirt.
If you have run a Salina event recently, you should have received a flyer.
There is also one on the Salina website, http://www.salinascca.org/
Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Oh, by the way there is a Salina event this Sunday, too.
