[Wichita-SCCA] Wichita Solo Schedule

Some possible conflicts in the Wichita solo schedule:

Apr 13 -- is an AVRG National race at Hallett, Wichita's race, Wichita's track
May 4 -- the most likely date of a MiDiv Solo at Kansas City (date not locked in, yet, however, but it's their first choice and they won't know for sure until the Royals schedule is set).
Aug 3 -- MiDiv Solo at Topeka on the Nationals site. This one is solid. 
Sep 14 -- Opening weekend of the Solo Nationals, this is actually the day the Nationals Warmup event will run (Pro Solo is Sept. 12-13, Nationals is Sept. 16-19). 

Of course, I recognize the Wichita sked is "unofficial" (aka tentative) at this point. And the above is among reasons that is so.

  Just a few things.  It's been awfully quiet, and so I want to make sure everyone is still awake.

  2008 "Unofficial" Solo Schedule
      -It's posted (http://wichitascca.org/SoloII.html).  Some dates may change, based on the weekends of the Midiv, AVRG, and Solo Nationals, but so far so good.  No conflicts with Salina events or the other possible weekends in the region.  Sites will be announced as we get closer and get those locked down.

  November 28th Membership Meeting  (Old Chicago East, 7:00pm)
      -We are once again collecting un-opened, unwrapped toys for the Wichita Children's Home.  Also, cash /check donations will be taken.  PLEASE give this year.  There are so many deserving children that are helped by this.  It could actually be the only toys they get for the holidays.

  December 19th Membership Meeting 
      -Christmas party!  There will be a gift exchange.  Please bring a present under $20, wrapped.  If you bring one, you get one!  
      -Other information to follow about the party.

  January 19th - Season Awards Banquet (Airport Hilton, Wichita, KS)
      -There are pages on the web that you can get the information about the banquet (http://wichitascca.org/Events/2007/Banquet.htm).  It's going to be a fun time once again, so get your reservations in early.

  I hope you will all attend these events, and help support the club.  If you have had ANY inkling whatsoever to do more in the club, feel free to come talk to me or anyone, and I'm sure we can find something that you want to do.  It's hard to put these events on, and the more people doing little things to help, the better!
