Whoa baby! Let's slow things down with the 1000' x 1000' pad thing. Yes,
it is something that I'm working on BUT it has at least two major hurtles to
get over before we would even think about presenting it as a concept to an
as yet unspecified city council or county commission. The background work
alone is going to take weeks into months. Even in my dreams I can't imagine
a pad that large being laid in less than two or three years. Also this
dream pad could and would suddenly shrink to a lot size much smaller than
first proposed if the funds available and the estimated income stream prove
to be too small to support such a huge facility. We may end up with only a
Boeing-sized lot or we may even get shot down in flames to end up with no
new lot at all so let's stop waving the concept around like it's going to
magically appear within a few weeks. It is a long term project with an
uncertain future at best. I will be personally working on it as quickly as
possible but it needs to fade into the background at least until we get
something more solid than a dream to go on. Please know that if the first
two major hurtles are overcome then you will be hearing about the project in
banner headlines and party balloons!

The focus of this group should return to the short term for now. We need
suitable activity lots NOW -- almost any kind of (safe) lot would be better
than what we've got. Other activities such as Rally Cross would be most
welcome to help keep the club alive in the face of the current solo lot
availability problems.

I love the enthusiasiam that I'm seeing here. Go for it guys!

Enjoy,
Greg Laws
