Thanks for the correction, yeah, Dad was A4D avionics after WWII, on the
Hornet and Ranger among others;  I was typing faster than I was thinking
again...

You mean they wouldn't let you use some paper towels on the grease??

Those took a lot of force, slowing a plane down in that short of a
distance!!
