[Wichita-SCCA] Apology to the list.

Guy,

Well said and accurate. And from my perspective your RE has to know what
you are doing as he is ultimately responsible for any actions of region
members and any commitments, perceived or otherwise, made in the
Region's name.

I wish you well on the site search, good luck on trying to get the Hutch
site back. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

Are you aware of the Solo Site acquisition packet? Do you have one and
have you customized it for the needs of the Region?

If your committee does not have one yet, please contact Nancy Downing in
the office at ndowing at scca.com or me. The packets are free; they have a
great CD, and look very professional. You can add you own literature and
things such as site safety plans and other literature the Region deems
fit for an individual site owner.

I really appreciate this enthusiasm about this, but keep in mind that
there are still procedures to follow. This is what forming the
Committee is all about. If we don't follow procedures properly, we
could say the wrong thing, not say the right thing, and possibly lose a
site or a connection to someone that can get us a site.

I'm all for you, Erin, being a part of the Committee, as your enthusiasm

is wonderful. Even if you don't want to be a part of the committee, I
can see them using you as a resource when it comes time to close.

However, everyone should be careful about taking these matters into
their own hands. If you have a possible site or contact, the best
option will be to let the committee know about it, research it, and make

a decision about how to move forward with it.

From what I've seen, there are going to be many political issues
involved everywhere we go. Political toes stepped on take decades to
heal.

Keep those site ideas coming, though. Once the committee is official,
there will be a nice list for them to work on!
