[Wichita-SCCA] Apology to the list.

Hi Greg.
As far as I'm concerned, please continue with the advertising.
My feeling is that my local region's needs come first on the loyalty scale but I also recognize that in the greater sense we are all part of the same club. Courtesy is appreciated but the light of an outstanding event should not be hidden under the bushel basket of regional territorialism. If it is in the best interest of a serious competitor to go outside his region for an event that conflicts with a local event then so be it. I wish him well and hope that the experience will help bring a national trophy home to the region. If it happens too often with too many competitors going away then the real problem is that the local event isn't of high enough quality to keep them home. That situation has nothing to do with another region advertising their events, conflict or not, and it won't be corrected by just complaining about it.
Enjoy,
Greg Laws

No apology needed really. I believe two different people from the Wichita Region has "warned" me about posting info on conflicting events on the Wichita list. I was courteous and apologized the first time(sometime last year) that I did it. I really didn't think about it and didn't realize that someone would be offended. But after the first warning, I consciously checked the website for many posts to come. Well just last week I did it again. It was late in the evening and I was trying to post to my dozen or so boards...quickly.... so I could get to bed. I didn't take the time to check everyone's websites for schedule conflicts. I again was reprimanded offline, that I did it again. Again I apologized, and gave my excuse that I stated above. But after some thought, I realized that I've been doing this Marketing job for some 3-4years to dozens of sites. And the Wichita region is the only one that I've gotten this type of response. Again, I'm sorry for doing so. But like what was already mentioned, I didn't say anything like..."Don't go to your local sucky site, come to our World Class Facility for a real autox experience." I wouldn't have done that. I was merely making an event announcement.
So when Bruce asked why I use the list. I assumed that my posts weren't appreciated by all. And that's OK. I'm sure he has a delete button.
No hard feelings here. If you'll still have me. I'll continue with my event announcements.

I want to offer an apology specifically to Greg Reno, and to all others that I have offended over the last few posts.
I have been frustrated by the posts about HPT events in conflict to the Wichita Region events, and yes, that includes AVRG events.
mea culpa
