[Wichita-SCCA] Solo Sites

The Beach is much worse after this past winter.  With Onex buying it we could lose the site anyway.  I'm actually considering not running there anymore, because my solo budget can't afford suspension parts and prematurely chunked up V710's that went up $32 per tire since last summer, and using my cheap all-seasons there last event was no fun.

Strother is breaking up really bad too.  Should we buy the Strother people a dinner in Winfield and have a meeting with them to discuss whether or not it is feasible for us to patch the place back together?  We could bust the hell out of a bunch of concrete with a bobcat and drop hammer attachment and another bobcat to scoop it up, but again, what is their concrete budget?  With those two machines a few guys could keep two dump trucks pretty busy.  Last year our little work party almost overworked the tractor and one dump truck and we were just a bunch of guys getting our jollies with two jack hammers.  BUT, even with new concrete, Strother is too far to draw in large crowds.

We probably have WGP for the remainder of the year because of the need for a vote, competition with Sumner County, and legal/political hoops that are left.

McConnell would be a dream come true, but even if we managed to get it, we are at risk to lose it at the last minute with a Base Exercise or Alert, IG inspection, or a change in the Homeland Security Threat.

The SW lot at the Coliseum is a possibility with the NW lot for grid and paddock.

Are we missing any other potential sites?

Sorry I havn't won the lottery yet, but as soon as I do, I will build a car and karting playground deluxe.
