[Wichita-SCCA] Triangle restaurant almost incident

Hi all,

Carolyn & I had an almost-accident at the Triangle restaurant in Douglas last night. A fellow in a sports car with dark-tint glass was backing out of his parking space as we were coming to a stop at the stop sign. As he was in the end space, this left us directly behind him. We almost came together but didn't. Apparently the driver finally spotted us through his dark glass and stopped his rearward motion.

The car might have been an RX-7 or something similar with a raspy exhaust note and SCCA stickers on the glass. I didn't get a good look at it.

I was curious as to if this driver might have been "one of us" and also if he was a regular at the Triangle. We (Carolyn & I) have been hooked on the Mexican food there for years. We've averaged going for Mexican food at Douglas almost once a week for 30 years or more. The stuff is darn near addictive. Hal & Kim Larcher can occasionally be seen there but we've not run into any other club members at the restaurant.

Oh, and I was also going to gently razz him about cutting some visibility holes in his window tint! <grin>

Enjoy,
Greg Laws
