[Wichita-SCCA] 7/15 at WGP

Indeed, the course was great, smooth, flowing and very fast. When I ran in second, I was on the rev limiter frequently. When I ran in third, I had some spots where the car lugged. It was an opportunity for me to practice shifting between second and third. Despite my efforts, I could not break 60 seconds.

I was using the event as a tune up for the Corvair national convention in Detroit next week. We start the week at Waterford Hills race track for a time trial. That will be a first for me in a Corvair. The car show/concours will be at GM's Tech Center, home of most of GM's engineers, on Wendesday. GM is also opening their Heritage Center to us. This is a new facility where they store all of their show cars and prototypes. I'll be taking many, many pictures there. There will also be an autocross and rally too. BTW I'm driving my autocross car there.
