[Wichita-SCCA] Can a Pirus really go 100mph??

Around town the Prius gets between 40 and 50 MPH.  Driving out to Montana it got 55 MPH in Yellowstone Park.  Where it would really be good would be in a town with an hour long stop and go rush hour commute, of course I'm not willing to face that kind of commute just to get maximum benefit out of a car.

Yeah, my Vette averages 22 mpg, and that's around town stuff, and solos thrown in.  75mph, with the A/C on, and the instant calculator tells me 35 mpg.

My wife's Prius gets about 35 MPH at 85 mph,  with my luck I would see a 
trooper if I tried to push it faster than that.  I can believe that it 
might hit 100 but it would take a very long straight to build up the speed, 
 at that speed there is not much in the way of acceleration.

That speed seems a bit suspicious but the specs say its top speed is 109
mph.  I wonder what kind of mileage it gets at 100 mph?  I get about 22
mpg at around 95 in my MS6.

What gets me is the guy looks just like Chip Foose.
