[Wichita-SCCA] Can a Pirus really go 100mph??

My wife's Prius gets about 35 MPH at 85 mph,  with my luck I would see a trooper if I tried to push it faster than that.  I can believe that it might hit 100 but it would take a very long straight to build up the speed,  at that speed there is not much in the way of acceleration.
