I have driven to the track and around town on them. They make great, but loud, street tires. I normally switched them out for all season tires though when going to and from the track to keep the no-fun straight line miles off them.I since have bought a set of used Toyo RA1 tires from the Run Offs. But these are not in the same class as the Falkens due to their 100 tread wear rating. These tires are even better choice IMO for grip*wear/cost.
........but I have since sold the car along with the Toyos so it doesn't matter anymore anyway.--Tom

Are there any others in the same class? The A048 sounds nice and has a better selection of sizes but at twice the price. Do the Hankook's handle the heat as well? Do you drive to the track with the Falkens on the car or carry them?Tom Z

Probably either the Falken Azenis RT-615, the Kumho Ecsta MX or the Hankook Ventus abcxyz. I've had a set of the RT-615s and they worked great. The grip seemed improved over the RT-215 (old design) and they seemed to wear better too. Plus they held up at Hallett better than the RT-215 as well. --Tom
