There was an article in the W-O-W section a few years ago, with pics of Lu in the Vee, and Ken Neely in his S2k. Mike rode with me (which may explain a LOT) and talked with several people, then wrote up a nice article. When I contacted him again the next year to write another article, he explained that they only do one story. Our events were listed in the upcoming events area, as long as I sent him the info AT LEAST 2 weeks in advance. So it isn't any big deal for us to get listed, just takes somebody to send the info in.

It could have been. I think one of the pictures was an open wheel car (didn't know the FV back then), and one was a taurus or contour or something.

The article in the Eagle about 5 years ago or so is EXACTLY what made me come to an event. I saw the photo of a car, and read the article just to see, and I tracked it down from that.
Like Brian Meyer, I was just watching, curious, and finally someone talked to me, and I felt comfortable enough to give it a try, and I've been hooked ever since.

How about asking the Wichita on Wheels guy to come to one of our events, take some pictures and write an article on our sport . If he will write an article about one of my co-workers Ford Festiva gas mileage achievements, he would surely write about us and reference our website. My co-worker said he was a very cool guy always looking for car stuff to write about.

I still think we can and should get events listed in the Sunday Eagle "Wichita on Wheels" section. I worked it out with SCCA the year before last only to have the Eagle edit it down and delete some important info. I was forgiven by the SCCA.
I think we could meet the SCCA and Eagle's requirements, but it would require just listing a date and a phone number to call for info. Anyone want to volunteer to take calls?
