[Wichita-SCCA] Rumor control: IMPORTANT

Listen up everyone.  This is important.

There is a rumor flying around that a million dollar, purpose-built solo 
pad, motor sports park, or whatever is already on its way towards being 
built and that the Vrana family is going to take care of the bill.

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG

Three things:

1st:  There have been no official proposals made to any city, county, or 
state entity concerning any sort of similar project.

2nd:  The Vrana family has made no commitment of any kind to do anything, 
and certainly not to fund entire projects of this nature.

3rd:  Loose lips sink ships.

Would the Wichita Region SCCA be delighted if someone were to build such a 
facility?  You bet!  Are we looking into ways to keep solo going in the 
Wichita area in the face of losing the Greyhound Park lot if that's what 
happens?  Absolutely.  Is there a solid plan or any sort of commitment by 
anyone to suddenly build a dream site for us to play on?  No.  No way - no 
how.  Its not happening -- heck, there's not even a fully realized plan as 
yet.

Look folks, even if there was a chance that a big pad might be built, even 
if the Vrana family sponsored the project in some unknown way, even then 
such a pad would be 2, 3 or even 4 years in the future.  Let's stamp these 
rumors out because all that they might accomplish would likely be to kill 
any hope of a future deal with some city or county board.

Your help in this matter is critical.  Let's shut down the rumor mill.
