[Wichita-SCCA] Bill Preheim's knee

Hi all,

Bill Preheim finally had that bad knee replaced yesterday morning at the hospital in Newton, KS.  I went to visit him yesterday evening and found him to be alert and in good spirits.  He was in some pain of course but the ice pack water pump gizmo plus some feel good pain medications had most of pain under control.  He was already exercising the new knee and doing extremely well.  We swapped stories and benchraced for an hour or so.

My feeling was "This is a bummer.  Here he almost beats me at the last WGP solo with a destroyed knee and now he's going to come back as 'Bionic Bill' !"  

Just kidding Bill !      :-) 

After being released from the hospital in a few days, Bill will be staying with friends in Wichita until he can get around.  Other friends will be taking care of his place.  Best wishes to Bill as he recovers.
