[Wichita-SCCA] Too rich for my blood, but...

Whilst returning from the Kansas State Fair, I took the Maize exit off k-96
(not something a south-sider would normally do), and while passing thru the
mild-mannered burb I passed a strip mall with only 2 cars in the parking
lot, side by side, nosed in to the storefront. I concentrated on the one
with the rear body section raised, hinged at the back, yellow body with wide
black stripes - a Ford GT, probably one of the new ones. Wow, as I pointed
it out to my passengers, that's kinda rare for the Wichita area. I noticed
the car right beside was red and sporty but, being prudent in my old age,
paid attention to my driving.
About 20 minutes later, after a brief stop farther south on Maize, I pulled
back into traffic and turned east on 21st. As I moved to the left lane and
lightly accelerated past several cars, I noticed what appeared to be (in the
dimming light) a Last Generation Camaro with nacra scoops a few lengths
behind. As we slowed for the light at Ridge, the car got much closer, and I
knew my first guess was wrong. I moved to the right and kept my speed down,
and told the youngest driver in the car to look at what was passing us.
Wow, that car is coool, she said. The 6 year old grandkid said, that looks
like a racecar. The Ferrari sped up slightly (for a Ferrari), made a two
lane change to the right and turned onto the Sedgwick County Park entrance
road.
I have since done some internet searches and am reasonably sure it was a
Ferrari F50. Now that is rare for Wichita.
So, think that was the second car in Maize?? - nah.
