Actually, we changed the times for Strother sometime back since we run two heats and therefore need everyone there ready to run or work at 11AM sharp.  See the following note that is on the preregistration page.



Please note the changes to the registration below.  All cars need to be registered by 10:45.  First car off will be at 11:00. In the case we get over 50 cars registered we may need to go to three heats.

Yes friends, it is the last Strother solo of the season!
 
Halloween will be arriving later in the month so is it possible that the course will be Fiendishly Frantic?  Diabolically Difficult?  Spooky and Scary?
 
Nope.
 
It will just be a fast & flowing chance to use up the remaining life in the Hoosiers or Khumos that you were running this year.  There won't be any tricks, traps, or nasty jinks.  Those believing in spooks and ghosts may see some of the elements of the two Nationals courses come back to life but mostly I'm intending to provide a course that will be as much fun as the law will allow.  It won't matter if you have a small, quick car or a big, fast one because everyone will get an adrenalin rush at this event.  COME ON DOWN TO STROTHER FIELD THIS SUNDAY!!!
 
I will get the basic course set up on Saturday afternoon so it won't be necessary to arrive at dawn for that part of it.  Even so there will be a need for setup of the PA system, computers, timers, marking the cones, and so forth early Sunday morning.  It would be greatly appreciated if you could be there by 8:00 am to help.  I'm planning for Driver's Meeting at 9:30 am, first car off at 10:00 am, and end of registration at 11:00 am unless you make special arrangements or the Solo Events Chair tells me differently.  Afterwards we'll all get together at GAMBINO'S PIZZA, 500 Main, Winfield.  This is a neat little pizza restaurant in an old Santa Fe railroad station located right next to the railroad tracks (well, Duh!) at the north end of main street in Winfield, east side.  I encourage everyone to stop by for the bench racing and fellowship -- as well as the good food.      
 
Yes, this will be a points event for the Wichita Region.
