[Wichita-SCCA] WTB: RWD Daily Driver

Sheesh, tough list there. The I6/V8 narrows it down quite a bit. First
car that came to mind is a Lexus IS300 but I don't know if they've
depreciated that much yet. I saw a very nice looking black GS300 at a
lot just south of the K-15 Storage sign when I was returning a bunch of
stuff to the SCCA trailer. That's just north of the Walmart on K-15 in
Derby.

I'd also suggest any of the WRX non-STI models. They're boxer four
cylinders but with the turbo they have six cylinder grunt. Also
consider an E40 M3 - awesome car that's getting old enough to become
sorta affordable. The Sentra SE-R SPEC-V is also a great car but
probably too pricy still.

Subject: [Wichita-SCCA] WTB: RWD Daily Driver

The 240 is looking for some much needed jackstand time, and I now that I
have an income, I am looking for a daily driver.

Musts:

- Must be Rear Wheel Drive, I'd also entertain some All Wheel Drive cars
(depending on the system)
- Manual Transmission (exception for cars easily swapped)
- Must have working, cold AC
- Must be mechanically sound (not looking for a project car since I
don't have a garage yet)

Likes:

- Wagon body style or sedan (I have had a sportwagon fetish for a while
now)
- useable space for 4 real people and things
- I6 or V8 motor (I love paying for gas)
- History of model being dependable
- Dark colors (black, dark green, gunmetal, dark reds)

Dislikes:

- light colors (tan, brown, silver, white)
- Domestic cars. I don't know much about them, All my tools are metric,
and I have disliked every big three car my family has owned.
- Slow not fun to drive cars

Price range

$4,000-$8,000

This isn't set in stone. In general, I want to stay away from something
beaterish, or something that I will still be paying off after I blow it
up.

Current List
- Toyota Cressida (can swap easily to manual)
- Volvo 240/740 (rare to find a manual transmission car that wasn't beat
on)
- Mercedes 190E (I'll be damned if every single 5-speed car wasn't sold
on the coasts)
- BMW 5 series (a little wary of a car without well documented service)
- Lexus SC300/GS300 (again, mostly autos... stupid americans)

If anyone knows of anything else that would fit my criteria on the list,
please let me know.

I just moved to Wichita, and don't really know where many used car lots
are. So if anybody knows of a car for sale or sees something at a
stealership, please let me know. I can be reached at
rallyxpos13 at gmail.com

Thanks in advance,

-Matt Miller
