Hey, thanks for the vouch. I didn't really mean to reply to the whole
list but that's what happens when you're in a hurry and using webmail.

I'll vouch for Jason. He's a good wrench and has a nice shop. $25/hr
is a bargain for someone with his talent IMO.

...although it sounds like a "basket case" to me.

Wow. This is my dream job. I've done professional work before, but not
on Porsches. I used to pick up work that daytime mechanics couldn't
handle or messed up at a shop in Wichita. I once reassembled most of an
'88 Nissan 300Z that was disassembled by another mechanic who left the
shop immediately afterwards. It went well.
I could do this job part time over the course of several months or a
year for one flat rate or for $25/hr. I'm an engineer at Cessna during
the day but have a very well outfitted shop at home in Newton. I own an
engine hoist and a large air compressor, among other things. I'd be
willing to buy any special Porsche tools or manuals needed. This kind of
work should be done the right way.
If you'd rather have a fulltime professional or someone thoroughly
experienced in Porsche, that's understandable but I thought I'd give you
an inexpensive option to think about.
Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks,
Jason Rogers
