[Wichita-SCCA] Concrete repair at Strother Field is CANCELLED!

The Strother concrete repair scheduled for this upcoming weekend (Aug 12-13) 
is CANCELLED.

I wish to gratefully thank those few volunteers willing to brave the 
elements but the forecasted temperatures of at or near 100 degrees are just 
too high for us to be out there pounding concrete all day.  The Strother 
Field Authority was also reluctant to continue because the heat is expected 
to continue through the following week and such high temperatures severely 
complicate the concrete work needed to fill the holes.  The concrete would 
tend to set up too quickly and then would stress crack as it did.

For all concerned then, it is best to let this date pass.  We can try again 
in the fall when the temperatures are more reasonable.
