Table Auction for Charity

The following table was built by Duck Waddle and is being auctioned off as a "silent auction", which in this case means there is no annoying chattering dude with a hammer.  You can just send in your bids to me at webmaster@wichitascca.org and they will be posted here as soon as I receive them.  The auction will close at midnight, April 22nd, so that the table can be given to the winner at the April 23rd Membership Meeting.

The table is made from a Ferrari 360 wheel, that was raced in the Petit Le Mans series.  At Road America, a bolt came off the brake system, and ended up shearing the wheel, which ended the Ferrari's race.  Duck asked to keep the wheel, and ended up making a table out of it.  The base is actually part of the rim, only the center "leg" has been added, as well as a fitted glass top (which is hard to see in the picture, but it fits right inside the rim lip).

ALL PROCEEDS will go to benefit a charity of the club's choice, most likely our favorite charity,  the Wichita Children's Home, so please bid!
